CELEBRATING NATIONAL RECONCILIATION WEEK
Here at e-volve and throughout Australia, we acknowledge the significance of National Reconciliation Week. A chance to commemorate the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture each year from 27 May to 3 June. During National Reconciliation Week, we bring into remembrance two noteworthy milestones of consequence - the successful 1967 referendum and the 1992 High Court Mabo decision.
The theme for 2022’s celebrations, “Be Brave, Make Change,” invites us all to be courageous and confront the spaces that remain in society where reconciliation must still make its mark so that we can turn the tide of change.
We, at e-volve, endeavour to display the essence of Australia, an ethos that has stood the test of time for 60,000 years. A formidable collection of the different histories, cultures, and knowledge of our people.
In our allegiance to furthering and cultivating national reconciliation, we aspire to bring tribute to that knowledge, recognize those cultures and offer restoration for past mistakes.
National Reconciliation Week is about inspiring our communities to address the unresolved matter of reconciliation and ‘become the change’ they want to see for the good of all Australians.
“This year’s theme, “Be Brave. Make Change,” is special to me. After two years of pandemic, it offers a time of reflection and participation in community events that commemorate our willingness to spend time together to focus on how we can better recognise each other and the contribution, cultures, and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander on what was once known as “the lucky country.” Now like never before, it’s time to reflect on how we can, today, best steward our land and our people.” David Simpson - CEO e-volve
We invite all our staff, clients, partners, stakeholders, and our community, in general, to unite with us in our resolve, by enriching their cultural proficiency and gaining knowledge on the implication of repatriation for reconciliation.
